Review: The Proposal

Sandra Bullock, the queen of all actresses, did it again. She nailed it…pants down! After what seemed like a tour down Prada-lane, the Proposal finally gets its own pair of wheels and rolls down the storyline. So if I were you, I’d buckle-up and get ready for the most romantic ride, since ‘The Notebook’.

Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock), better known as ‘Satan’s Mistress’ by her co-workers, is the embodiment of a bitchy, superficial book editor. Margaret is on top of her game, until she is faced with the harsh reality that she is to be deported back to
Canada due to a technicality with her Visa. In her hard working assistant, Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) lays the solution. Margaret blackmails Andrew into faking an engagement to gain her green card.

The chemistry between Bullock and Reynolds is undeniable, and is sustained right on through to the end of the film. Sandra’s performance is something to be marvelled at and Ryan shows yet again that he is an actor that needs to be taken seriously. 'The Proposal' is a great way to start your summer. It makes you want to grab your partner and have a serious make-out session. Unquestionably worth seeing!
