The half-boyfriend, ain't half that bad

The show didn’t even start and I was already soaking wet. Wet from standing in the rain that is [unfortunately]. A line was forming outside the Sugarfactory by a couple of die-heart-jay-fans. Sadly, I was one of them. I was determined to stand right in front of him when he took the stage and more than willing to knock some queers down to get there.

It all started after seeing his wonderful performance in ‘Shortbus’. He proved to be an artist that knows how to handle an instrument. He can even play the guitar! After months of obsessively watching his videos on youtube a venue was finally announced in Amsterdam and I got tickets to admire the man with the biggest, most beautiful, pink heart.

Jay Brannan was walking amongst the crowd, ordering drinks at the bar. Nobody seemed to notice him. I can’t blame them though. He kind of looked like something the cat dragged in. He wore a scarf, some glasses. He looked nothing like the sexy artist from the net…but I never judge a book by its cover. So I went over and handed him some ‘stroopwafels’ he requested on twitter. Jay is the sweetest person ever. I just wanted to kiss him!

The concert was absolutely enticing! His voice was angelic, his look was flawless. Although, I expected him to be like a true diva and at least change his outfit once. He could have used it, for he was sweating like a pig. Nevertheless, he was a hunk. If I had the energy [and guts], I would have jumped him right then and there.

Is Jay Brannan a true artist? He is gifted with the voice of a hummingbird that is for sure, but he lacks skills on the guitar. He kept looking on a piece of paper on which chord to start and it was kind of frustrating. It’s called practice, they say it makes perfect! So next time Jay, I want you to blow me out of my socks. By singing or rehearsing a take from Shortbus.

Word Art: Gravity

Esmee Denters’ album is worn-out after nearly a month. Her lyrics are absolutely amazing and totally inspiring. I can’t wait for her new single to hit the stands. Very, very curious to see what will be the follow-up. I’m desperately hoping that it’ll be ‘Admit it’. The song makes you want to shake your booty all over the floor.
'I dont know how but your gravity's holding me down..'

PBF: Bradley Cooper

I loved him in 'Failure to Launch', adored him in 'He's Just Not That Into You', enjoyed his presence in 'Yes Man' and thanks to 'The Hangover', in which he looks ravishing sexy in a all black suit, I just keep dreaming about him. Bradley Cooper undeniably earned himself a spot on my to-do list. He is one of the few men that make a hairy chest somewhat appealing. Before you take a look at the photos, be sure to wear a life-vest! ‘Cause you’ll definitely drown in those kind eyes!

Review: The Proposal

Sandra Bullock, the queen of all actresses, did it again. She nailed it…pants down! After what seemed like a tour down Prada-lane, the Proposal finally gets its own pair of wheels and rolls down the storyline. So if I were you, I’d buckle-up and get ready for the most romantic ride, since ‘The Notebook’.

Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock), better known as ‘Satan’s Mistress’ by her co-workers, is the embodiment of a bitchy, superficial book editor. Margaret is on top of her game, until she is faced with the harsh reality that she is to be deported back to
Canada due to a technicality with her Visa. In her hard working assistant, Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) lays the solution. Margaret blackmails Andrew into faking an engagement to gain her green card.

The chemistry between Bullock and Reynolds is undeniable, and is sustained right on through to the end of the film. Sandra’s performance is something to be marvelled at and Ryan shows yet again that he is an actor that needs to be taken seriously. 'The Proposal' is a great way to start your summer. It makes you want to grab your partner and have a serious make-out session. Unquestionably worth seeing!

Word Art: Outta here

You know that when you listen to a song, an illustration is formed in your head. This is what I saw while listening to 'Outta here' by Esmée Denters.
'You changed up your makeup your DNA
I can’t recognize you’re a stranger to me
I feel so betrayed what a waste of my heart'

Spotlight: Ciara - Work (ft. Missy Elliott)

Ciara finally understands what needs to be done to boost the sales. She needs to ‘work’. And honey did she! Yesterday her new music video ‘Work’ featuring Missy Elliot premiered. In the video Ciara is shaking her tail and literally dancing her ass off. Looking fierce in some tight outfits and elegant in others, this video is the best thing that happened to high fashion since Lady Gaga. You can download the album through iTunes by clicking here.

New Releases: Esmée Denters

It has been more than 2 years ago since the talented young artist from the Netherlands, Esmée Denters, debuted her first video on youtube. She is now signed to Tennman/Interscope Records by my one and only wet dream, Justin Timberlake. Touring with god’s gift to woman(and sexually confused boys), Enrique Iglesias, she is promoting her long awaited album titled ‘Outta here’. You can download the single through iTunes by clicking here.
